well how boring, another athlete graces the Sept issue. And CMIIW, is this the third times in 2011 GQ features athletes on the cover

I love the green and the cover is miles better than Details. GQ wins this time.

Yawn. It has been a really boring year for GQ US. I thought they would have put more effort into the September cover but yet again just a typical studio shot with a white background. And yet another athlete cover. What about featuring a musician on the cover?

I like the Green, but that's about it. I knew it would be an athlete for September. Their March and September issues tend to be athletes now (3 of the past 4 have been). I think it's an effort to be more "straight". Also, I'm disappointed that the only fashion-related headline on the cover basically implies that it's all about suits. I'm so tired of GQ and their suits. It would be one thing if they found a new way to showcase them, but there's like three or four editorial ideas that just get recycled over and over and over again.

I wish monthly magazines can be brave enough to feature runway items outside the usual suits.
