Lara Bingle for issue #91

frockwriter

the cover looks ok, but the idea of having her (not even a proper model) on the cover is a strange choice. I rather see a real model on the cover, not a publicity hungry individual who is only famous because she dated the cricketer (sorry, its the truth )

Lara started out as a model before she dated anyone famous.
She may not have been a household name, but I think it's unfair to say she can't cover a magazine as a model.

Lara Bingle looks great, a model is a model - it's always great seeing a model cover a fashion magazine!

she isn't a model as she has no agency or representation, and hasn't for years. She is more like a 'local celebrity'. Myf Shepherd is in this issue, I rather see her on the cover. But hey, I guess everybody is entitled to their own opinion we can all agree to disagree

Not a fan of Lara on Oyster. She much more well known (apart from her relationships with sportsmen; fevola anyone?!) as a model for men's magazines or other promotional activities that involve wearing a bikini in unlikely places (like on a cricket pitch while wielding a bat).

^^And TeeVanity, Oyster features models almost every month on their covers unlike most magazines, so getting a model like Lara is certainly not a treat.

I hate the cover. They're trying to turn her high fashion with the bleached brows and all. The problem is she is far to common looking to pull it off. I would describe her as 'hot' (in a very conventional, heterosexual male appealing way) rather than beautiful, so she the first cover in particular is terrible.

Plus, what's up with the 'sold out' title. Lara never had a respect to begin with, so how can she sell out. She's always been a sell out. If they're hoping the magazine will sell out, they're kidding themselves. She'll put quite a lot of people off and there aren't really that many people who even care about her in the mainstream either now that she doesn't have a famous beau.

FAIL.

Lara, I don't think I like her. She seems a bit too Jennifer Hawkins for me. Whom I incredibly dislike.
