I just grabbed my copy of POP today and I'm excited to give it a more thourough look. I chose the second cover, or "the blue cover". It wasn't hard to choose, I love the blue cover.
I'm also going to take some time and read your comments about this issue more carefully and see what the verdict is. I have seen both yays and nays so far. Some people saying it's silly to put a kid on the cover and that putting Tavi on the cover is "gimmicky".
Spontaneously, I'd say I love this idea and think it's fun. Why not put a fashion crazy little girl on the cover? All the big magazines are fighting to do something new and original these days, I'd say this is new and quite original. It's fun!
Anyway, that's all I'll say for now before I've even had the chance to read the magazine!
There is a little booklet with Manuela Pavesi´s personal archieve which is incredible, the photographies are just boring and the model is really ugly, but the clothes are soooooooooooooooooooo amazing.
And Cicciolina's ed is quite funky, is like a sort of shoot for a porn website (not very trated photography) with Givenchy clothes, something that i would never expected.
Got my issue today and all I can say is what an entertainment. Diversity and interesting layouting, context, quality and variation of the paper. Great, great job! Not that impressed with the eds but the content makes up for it!
Anyone in Toronto (or any other city in Canada) seen this in stores yet? I've been looking for POP at various locations to no avail, so it would be great if anyone could confirm which stores sell it! Thanks!
