Everything is business. Not just business, but it's always one of the most important aspects...

I bet Anna Wintour would like to give us model covers every month, but she knows they wouldn't sell, so it's not a real possibility...

Like it or not, Lindsay Lohan is one of today's it girls and that will sell. It's not like she's landing covers because of her amazing style or her interesting thoughts on contemporary fashion. Or even because of her acting talent. She just happens to be very pretty in addition to being one of the most talked-about celebrities out there, making her a perfect cover subject....

Imo, no magazine with real integrity would put Lohan on the cover, but I get why the temptation is hard to resist...

Nice and moody, and much better than the Miu Miu ads. I've never watched one of her films, and don't care much about her overhyped private life, so as long as she looks well in the editorial, that's enough for me. Besides, just think of the superglossy adverts...

It's true...Lindsay may not be able to sell a movie but she can sell a cover. That's why she is forever in campaigns and on covers month after month...the fashion world is enamored with her...and her off screen life is more interesting at this point...

The cover photo is so beautiful, she looks like a young, edgy Sophia Loren (shame about the cocaine though)

I have never seen a more 'fake' pop cover before. She literally looks like a CGI effect, I wish photogs would stop using photoshop so god damn much. The picture totally lacks detail, which is a shame as it is a good shot. Personally I'm always pleased with Lindsay's editorial work, she's gorgeous but I guess she's overexposed right now.

something I 'heard' the other day...Lohan was supposed to be on the cover last season, to coincide with the mert and marcus miu miu ads, (as this cover shoot is also M&M), but her reps pulled it and threatened suing. Now with everything thats happened Pop is just gonna run with it for this season. Plus apparently she turned up to the shoot completley trashed, and ended up getting naked on set, whilst the photographers carried on shooting her, so might make for an interesting editorial!!

Well I've got no news as to the content of this issue, but I know that Meghan Collison is supposed to have been shot by M&M for POP, and that Cristina Jurach is also supposed to make an appearence in POP sometime soon as well. I think its far more likely that these will appear in the winter issue, particularly in Meghan's case, but just throwing it out there...

As for Lindsay...I could care less. She's not really of any importance to me in the world of fashion.

mert and marcus are the best!!!! this cover is great too! Lindsay however....is a beautiful girl with way too much baggage. other than that she's magazine cover gold.
