^No I like it too. Never paid attention to Pop but now that I hear there won't be any Pop after this I hope wthis will be exrtra good. Why has the title changed though it says Autumn on the cover?

It's not horrendous but if this - as has been surmised - the final issue then it's definitely lacking...

That cover looks like a fanboy mock-up, rather than anything that would go on sale. The image is perfectly fine, but the text design is incomprehensible AND it says 'autumn issue Nov 08' just above the barcode, when you imagine it'd be the winter one. But when a magazine is in meltdown, all sorts of things can happen.

Pop lost its appeal for me when Mert & Marcus started getting work in other publications, ending Pop's status as one of the few places to see their work (how things change!) and its other content left me cold. Nice glossy paper, and some issues I treasure, but to my eyes, every issue it comes out with now seems the same.

wait Pop is over completely? As in the magazine will no longer run?

Or is just that Katie is leaving Pop, and someone will take her place there?

so confused

I find the choice in picking Drew odd, because 1) Her fashion sense and modeling are no where near inspirational and 2) She has been on the cover before and there are plenty of celebrities and models who could have taken her place especially for such a momumental issue.

if the magazine is really over I have to get my hands on that Aggy Rave cover.

^^From what I've read around here it is actually ending.

The cover is ok....I like Drew's expression but the styling makes her look like a homeless money who begs enough money go use the laundromat and is about to have that bunny for supper.

i feel terribly sorry for POP to end but it's always better to leave at the highest point, rather than to slow down and just fade away. but will this issue be the real highest point? guess we have to wait and see.

and what's the point of misspelling the words? is it me or does the cover 'say boing boing 101 animals FEATUR boing boing boing'? it looks like someone put that text over the ready cover, not like it was meant to be there at all...
