I find it funny that she's wearing a Chanel cardigan on the cover personally. A brand not available on Net-a-Porter.

They spoke about this with BoF.

For the Net-a-Porter Group, the magazine — which Massenet said would be both a brand beacon and a profitable business from the outset — is also a way to build and strengthen relationships with those brands who have thus far resisted selling their product on Net-a-porter.com, such as Chanel and Dior. “We are partnering with many brands that we don’t carry currently, and they now have access to our consumers via this and the Net-a-Porter brand, and it is inevitable that this will lead, one way or another, to us playing with them,” said Massenet, adding that this was not the central motivation for launching the magazine, but a potential by-product.

Thanks, that's interesting. I doubt however Chanel will make the move to being sold on Net-a-Porter. They wont even sell outside of their in store boutiques...

I found the obsession with Chanel in the magazine a bit absurd to be honest.

I bought the mag in the glamorous surroundings of Tesco yesterday, ( thank you for the Morrison's tip), and it's meh. It's very Elle. I guess it's the type of magazine that i would only purchase again if I really like some particular feature. Nothing i would ever consider subscribing.

Chanel will Never sell through an external source than via their own privately ran boutiques/concessions, they are an extremely selective brand as to who they liaise with.

^But it would be the coup of all ages, especially for NAP, when they would do it. I don't think they can avoid the internet selling much longer.

Yes, it would. And I agree that it's past time that Chanel move into the 21st century.
