Love this cover. Not often you see a naked man kneeling next to a woman.

one of the hottest covers ever, but why the writing on her face. Wish I could see the picture without writing.

I wish the cover would've been softer, less sexual, because of Kate's/Mario's history together. But that's probably because when i think of them,i ahve the Obsession for Calvin Klein campaign in mind :P.And i hate the writting on her face, ugh. Not necessary.

Mario's body seems strangely hairless. Its distracting and I can't focus on anything else on the cover

about elein. i phoned purple (for different reasons) recently and she picked up the phone. she said she was leaving the offices for some times. so i don't know if she really left purple or not.
but she's more involved into purple journal, non ?

zahm is really into something "fashion celebs" which is kind of annoying.

BUT Kate and Mario on a cover. with mario naked .... is very good.
though mario sorrenti alone ... same pose. would be better.

where did you get it max ? guess i'm gonna get tomorrow or monday.

ugh, last issue it was Dan Colen, now it's Dash Snow's turn... what a shame of wasted pages.
Anyway, most of it sounds good, especially Purple V-O-C-A-B-U-L-A-R-Y, Richard Bush's ed, purple travel could be good as well. And I'm curious too see what Richard Kern has done.

I can't help but think this would be a touch awkward for both parties, but I really like the finished concept - and they do make a very good looking couple!

the review doesn't sound all that exciting, the stylists, the photographers and especially the casting.. I get jumpy about new faces, not New York socialites, actresses or creative masters ego-tripping on being on the other side of the lens.. so boring.. same for the cover.. there are microscopic chances for Kate to be remotely surprising these days, we've seen it all, or at least a good part of it.. it's like no one knows what to do with her anymore, just replays.

..too expensive and thick for what it has to offer.. I actually don't mind the price, but I wouldn't venture to carry this around if the content isn't really worth it.. reason why I didn't buy Suvi's cover when I had the chance to.

and after speaking for what I haven't seen, can't wait to see your scans, diesel!, thanks for review...

and that's exactly what i'm hinting at too because i know olivier was hugely responsible for the commercial elements also but i never minded because with eileen's influence, the content and that emphasis on creativity always outweighed the ads or their occasional usage of big brands.

i dunno,i just haven't seen alot of soul in purple like i used to. and i can only venture to expect the same here. i mean the cover for me is not a great lead-way into what's in the mag. and i'm usually not one to pay attention to covers but considering my experience and history with purple, and purple itself it's terribly off-putting.

Amazing cover I can't wait to get this! I wish we could see Kate's face better but I guess the writing-on-face thing is typical of Purple...
