I adore that second version of the Oscar de la Renta dress. You're spot-on by describing it as fairytale-like. It's especially interesting due to the black and white, since the original dress is such a vibrant yellow.

Kudos to US Vogue for adorning the gown with such unique accessories. However, this is one of the cases where the stylists were too original. Besides, who would mask that gorgeous gown with a large, mesh top anyway?

in the US Vogue, I love how the dress is captured by the lens of the photog. but I don't like how it's styled... Make it look sporty is not really interesting... I like it when stylists are corrupting the outfits' first sens (Edward Enninful and Steven Meisel do that very good! and even Steven with Grace C.) but there it makes no sense...

The W story is very good... and esp. because of the set. The colours behind the dress (and eventhough there's a lot of yellow) put all our attention on the dress... but same for me than Luxx, I think the bracelets are too much!

The Vogue Russia, is very good, because it turns this very spring-ish dress into a darker mood... and it's interesting... so bad the "dark" mood is better in b&w because we cannot see the colour of the dress... which is important, imo, for this Oscar de la Renta... a more Mario Sorrenti style of photo would be good for this kind of thing... with his touch of drama!

I think these headdresses are ferocious no matter how they're done but Alex White took them to the next level with the simple addition of that tulle. It just creates the elegant drama that is surreal and beautiful. I'm also loving the styling on Vlada in Vogue Nippon. Simple yet eyecatching.

The Louis Vuitton boots definitely look best in the Sarah Richardson-styled editorial, with the Vogue editorial following closely behind. To clarify, I don't particularly enjoy the boots in the first place, but those photos make them look as natural/casual as possible.

5. Stylist: Laura Bianchi | Magazine: Elle IT July 07 | Photographer: Pablo Arroyo | Model: Ralisa Oprea

This is one of those larger than life statement pieces that just absorbs attention. From the moment I saw it on the runway I thought "this is going to be big" its really not for the faint of heart and it almost seems to overpower some of the wearers. Case in point in the Cavaco styled edit for Allure, Natasha Poly almost seems lost in all that puffy fur. It feels like a little too much on her. Personally I think Raquel and Caroline wear the piece best (Caroline's picture is really stunning) but the styling that impresses me most is that of the Elle IT shoot. The rope-like belt they've added and the very soft blouse peaking through are unique touches that take me away from the runway styling.

Gucci Silk Dress with Crystals f/w 07-08

1. Stylist: Unknown | Photographer: Matthias Vriens | Model: Olga Sherer | Magazine Numero 85
2. Stylist: Karl Templer | Photographer: Michael Thompson | Hair: Serge Normant for Serge Normant at John Frieda Salon | Makeup: Marc Carrasquillo | Model: Olga Sherer | Magazine: W August 07

I'm not really a fan of the dress but the second one makes it a lot more appealing, more luxurious.

I wish stylists would experiment a bit with this dress instead of doing the typical studio picture.
