Disappointing issue this month. I think the cover is dreadful, just horrendous, everything about it. As honeycombchild mentioned, I do applaud the effort to publish something different. But this is just a complete and utter disaster. There are so many elements that I hate about the cover, I haven't a clue where to start. Maybe it's the fact I haven't warmed to Edie Campbell. If she were looking out at the reader and the text placement was half decent, I could have admired this.

All 3 of the fashion stories are a bore. You don't even need to see Edie's to know how it's going to turn out. The one with Guinevere is decent, I don't like it, but I think most others will appreciate the softness and direction. Her pencil-thin eyebrows are so distracting. Alasdair McLellan's is surprisingly weak too.

There is a nice Chanel feature photographed by Scott Trindle showcasing the Métier d'Art collection, that was held in Edinburgh. They've enlisted Scottish beauties, including Kirsty Hume. Also an article with Ines de la Fressange talking about the house of Roger Vivier.

I have to say I really enjoyed this issue.

I thought it had nice editorials, the Chanel Scot's Editorial is fantastic.

Yep, same.

Heartbreak Hotel is great, but this issue is boring.

Edie looks like a 12 yr old boy with a 'bowl cut' - which is how my mother interpreted fashion in the 60s!

I love the cover, simple yet classic.

The eds are gorgeous, esp Guinevere's.

I think the reason this doesn't work is the angle.. maybe the expression but the colours and and the makeup look nice.
