All in all a great issue I thought, it needed to be too as vogue uk has dissapointed me lately. I actually like the cover colours but agree Freja doesn't look quite 'there' but glad to see her on the cover no less. Her ed is amazing, great styling etc. The Karlie/Karmen ed could have been better I thought? For two great models with amazing clothes to work with it just didn't blow me away. Loved everything else..more dash than cash and the aw catwalk edit..actually think I might be a bit biased on this issue coz I love Fall fashion the best

Let me start off by stating my Freja position, I am neither stan nor hater. I like the cover, all that orange and pink is a bit too sherbet-y for me - and this is coming from someone who has a pretty high threshold for pretty. At first glance, the cover model looks like some rock chick or emo actress whose name you can't quite recall... anyhoo, what makes this cover special is Freja's eyes, I can't explain it, but despite the simplicity of the pose and expression they suck me in and I have to shake my head to snap back into focus, I recall having a similar but lesser reaction to Freja's VI cover. I think that this cover has staying power and I can see legions of pre-sapphists and non-pre-sapphists tearing the cover off and hanging it on their walls or mirrors or using it as wallpaper on their PCs and in years to come being the subject of my first girl crush and when I fell in love with fashion stories. What I am unclear on is whether Freja and her powerful eyes can stand out on the newsstand. So yeah I'm not a stan... really I'm not... seriously... brb off to Freja's thread to post an adoring message.
P.S.
Freja really should be the poster child for the Brown Eyes Are Beautiful campaign.
I like the cover more now that you can see that it's not a white background.
Thanks for scans CC09

I don't think the colours on the cover are THAT bad. I mean sometime you just have to realize that Vogue UK is usually going to use bright pink text on their covers and that Voge US is going to put a bland overly-photoshopped actress on their covers and just suck it up and appreciate the covers for what they are, not for what they could be in a perfect world.
