Half time!

nyc_art_style: The Jourdan editorial is in the main magazine. I'm not sure about UK Vogue supplements (which is her cover, but she's not inside) outside of the UK.

More Dash Than Cash seems like it's becoming a regular feature in Vogue, and it makes a welcome change. It seems to be the place for Vogue UK to show the newer younger models. My only complaint is the name, I actually prefer 'More Trendy Than Spendy' but there you go..

More Dash Than Cash
Jason Kibbler
Jourdan Dunn
Styling: Miranda Almond & Emma Elwick

The colours on this cover make is a lot more appealing.
The only neon cover that I loved of U.K. Vogue was Agyness Deyn's June 2007 cover. Everything about it was so genius and Pop and just fun! And she looked so amazing, albeit super-airbrushed ! That is probably one of the best, if not the best, U.K. Vogue covers of recent memory.

This is one of the best UK Vogue editorials in recent times that I can remember, the scans don't do it justice really. In print it's incredible and a much darker mood. This is such a great example of model, make up artist, stylist and photographer in perfect harmony.

Show And Tell
Paolo Roversi
Model: Guinevere Van Seenus
Fashion Editor: Lucinda Chambers
Make Up: Linda Cantello
Hair: Luke Hersheson

More Dash Than Cash is the traditional name for the feature, I have one book from the early 90's which is a compilation of the MDTC articles from around that time (I don't know what year they abolished the section).

The Roversi/Guinevere edit is very interesting. Very dark and dangerous, and even a bit macabre. It reminds me of Harlequinn from the Batman cartoon . I like the styling, well what I can see, and Guinevere looks beautiful. What really irks me though, is when there is a really great concept to an edit, and there are a few great fashion shots, but the rest are close-ups/minimally clothed shots. I find that VI does that a lot too. It just really damages the overall effect, IMO.

July 2007 was the only exception for the Neon fonts. Only because theme of the cover was Neon. But I don't expect to see bright colours next to a draped Christian Lacroix chiffon minidress. It just didn't work for me.

I look forward to seeing the 'More Dash Than Cash' section, recently in UK Vogue. But this is disappointing. Maybe I am going back to not getting Jourdan Dunn's appeal.

Thanks for all the scans. Lara's ed is really good.

Guinevere's ed looks good too. Quintessential Roversi.
