Adele on the cover and Lara as Agnetha Fältskog... count me in.

How did Vogue manage to make Adele look ugly and not the least bit elegant? She usually glows in photos but this is just awful. And the Lara editorial is equally atrocious.

I do not think Adele has a "a beautiful figure" nor do I care about her looks, and that's also not what Adele is all about, but magazine editors should gives us a bit more credit, do they think we are all going to scream "outrage" if they show on the cover a non-model body? I'm sick and tired of seeing Adele close ups, they are everywhere. I like her ed, though.

Glad to see Lara as usual!

Great to see Adele on the cover She looks gorgeous. I'm not a fan of the other pictures, though... Her hair looks messy.
I can't wait to see more from Lara's!

I was just thinking that... the hair is pretty wig-ish (not good at any rate) and the strange lighting and lipstick combo makes her lips look odd. I can't wait until this issue arrives so I can have a proper look at it. In the interview I hope they don't lead with the 'she's your loud mouthed best friend' angle like every other magazine on the planet seems to do.

They decided to go with a face shot, and I'm not sure it was at all because it's easier to recognize her from one? She'd be perfectly recognisable if her body was in shot too. I love the cover, I love her, I just think it could have quite easily have been a beautiful shot that wasn't a close up like that. It certainly would have been a bit of a bolder move from Vogue.

I don't know if this is fully allowed, but is Adele actually the first plus sized cover subject for them? Model or otherwise?
Well, it didn't have to be, but... why not? I mean, it's been all about variety recentely, turning back to using the skinny all the time, being "tolerant" when it comes to size, so what is even the thing that there's no point of using her on the cover and not showing her "+size body" if it's Adele - a great singer and not Adele -the +size women? She's a women the way she is a woman, why Vogue would put her on the cover because of her body? That's not what should really metter, but the fact she's a popular singer recentely.

Anyway, I don't like the cover image itself either.. Despite what I've written, this close-up is just.. too close for me.

Come to think of it while reading comments, we are all making to much out of this than it probably is. I mean sure they could have not done yet another portrait with her. But lets be honest they do like doing covers like this. Paltrow was on the cover with just the head shot, Alexa Chung, and lets not forget the most famous size zero in the world Victoria Beckham was photographed for the cover image in a very simple way as well, this year.

I really appreciate that they put someone like Adele on the cover, i didnt think it would happen, but here it is, and its wonderful imho.
