The second shot could`ve been a hell of a lot better cover. The editorial looks nice but I don`t get the direction of it. Atleast she won`t be in Vogue.
Yes, my first impression is that the second shot does feel more appropriate than the first one - that's an outfit that needs some space if it's going to work on a cover, but instead there's a column of text fighting with the detail of the fabric. Hmmm, I'll have another look later on and see if it grows on me...

now i serisouly think Glenda should retire... there's no concept around the magazine anymore... very erratic...
Agreed. Harper's need an injection of fresh fashion blood. Someone younger, current, with an eye for what makes us crave more. Shala Monroque would be perfect, imo, since she's no longer at POP.
While the American edition is always going to be more 'tabloid' than other versions of the magazine, I would like to see an editor who can combine typical Bazaar elegance with some genuine excitement, who has a proper sense of fashion history while knowing how to focus on the moment.

she has a new flic coming out where she does a british accent, so I presume that's where the whole american gal in uk concept comes from, but the reasoning and execution is pretty clunky

The cover image is not most flattering face wise, but i do appreciate the fact that its not their usual over the shoulder in a white dress spiel! The spread is quite lovely actually.
