Not so much overrated as overused, though. His limited photographic and stylistic range is really only well-suited for Purple editorials and GQ, and yet for some reason he still pops up for things like this from time to time. Although he certainly has a place in the world of "fashion" photography, personally, I would consider it neither a personal loss nor a loss to the magazine if we never saw another Terry ed in Harper's Bazaar again.

i have to maintain that this is the worst and most incongrous cover in fashion history

the editorial, furthermore, is the worst executed concept i have ever seen in a fashion magazine

The cover is just the third shot of her editorial, but photoshopped, right? It looks identical, except they've coloured the dress red instead of gold and move a bit of hair...?

If you watch behind the scenes video you'll see that those two images were shot separately with different backgrounds behind.

I find the cover beautiful. Kim looks like normal person, just a human. I hate her plastic image with plastic half-smile. On this cover I see pretty natural smile and her eyes look less photoshoped than usual. But the editorial is ridiculous.

About Kim's selling em skills. I remember that W has had very bad sells with Kim's naked issue.
