That's one close 'beauty shot'. I mean why is she on the cover again after only 5 months? She didn't even sell that well the last time. That having been said it's not as bad as her previous cover.

I like it, if only because it´s different from their usual celebs covers.

Oh wow I&V indeed. I'm excited that they shot it but to be honest I don't like the stripped down bare look Lady Gaga here.

Who would have thought that a b/w shot of a make up-less Lady Gaga could become by far the best US HB cover of the year so far? This is surprisingly good, even with the baby pink font. I'm shocked!

I was half expecting it to be her male persona. It could be worse, I guess.

she, again? *sigh* but hell yeah, this is so much better than their usual disastrous and crowded cover.

Good for them for trying something different... on the other hand, I wouldn't pay money for a fashion magazine that shows me something worse on the cover than what I see in my own mirror for free every morning.

daaaang lol.
well i guess theres always suppose to be beauty on the cover of a fashion magazine and not make-up less everyday normal looking people... so that we the readers fantasize about looking like that individual. if not than whats the point?

but this cover reminds me of W's Feb. 2009 cover with Brad Pitt. I personally think it looks great and this is probably because he is a man and society is used to seeing men without makeup and with a rough natural face. This would be a big no no for women.

my literal first reaction to opening this thread was EWW - like literally - but I must say it's quite...interesting that a mainstream magazine would opt for not putting someone on their cover who is considered classically beautiful. Especially when people complain about how there isn't much diversity in this fickle industry. So for this, they get kudos. will I be buying? meh I already have Gaga on Vogue US so I'll pass. she was just on the magazine some months ago, what could she possible have to say that's new?

She needs to lay low for a little bit.
