Alright, I think it's time I accept that fashion magazines left the station a long time ago for me and aren't returning any time soon.

Kids' stuff.

Could be an Instyle cover. Not interested in her nor her career.
I'm not sure what everyone is raving on about, either. The composition is so very standard, and Selena looks nice, I guess. We know it's all M&M photoshop trickery.

I've seen much, much better from them.

I'm with you on that.
It's like there are no true fashion mags anymore.
They all morphed into celebrity fanzines.
~sigh~

Absolutely love the cover, think Selena looks more mature than she usually does and Mert & Marcus have done her justice. I find this way more attractive than Vogue's March cover and the sultry mood is unusual for American Vogue, so I commend them on their choices here. A thumbs up from me!

If you want to hang on to any gravitas as a contentious political figure, it's probably best to pose for Vogue when you have a moment to rest on the laurels of your achievements, rather than before you've even served one year in your job.

Unlike former PM's, Theresa May's entry onto the scene is unfortunately overshadowed by having to clean up the mess created by some foolish toff who appeared to have been positively out of his depth. She's now tasked with weathering the country through a very sensitive and divisive transition and in the process garnered more detractors than fans. This Vogue piece tried much to give us a glimpse of what she's about and build up a celebrity, but it's perhaps too late for that because controversy will forever taint her. And she's being deliberately stubborn and vague in the interview, perhaps with reason. I think there may have been some strategy behind this interview. She agreed because it was Vogue, a women's magazine. She oddly enough doesn't have much female opinion (generally speaking), it's mostly the men mouthing off on her. So maybe this was an attempt to sway them. She shouldn't have to, tbh. Because those clever enough will actually have seen (as this puff piece illustrates) that she's just a woman trying to do her best in a rather shi*ty situation, with not much ulterior motives or room for reform.

The images are ok, exactly the type of stuff you'd expect Leibovitz to do when she shoots politicians. I like the hair blown backwards and the blue against her pale skin. She's no oil painting, but looks somewhat handsome in these shots. Although if you uncrop those interior images she's probably wearing leopard print kitten pumps with faux gold trimming.

They should know by now that outside of the sexy or California girl type edits Gigi is not very versatile..
