It was Steven Klein who shot it, and it came with an article.

A bunch of stellar cast and crew, one boring issue. I finally get what's so great about Anna Wintour and why she's touted as such a legendary editor: she's all about safe, conventional, repetitive, traditional... all wrapped up in something called uncreativity.

I explained this to someone who knows (and cares) less about fashion than our membership does... "American Vogue put 'cool' model Kate Moss on their cover but made her look like their 60-year-old editor, so I am definitely interested. Aren't you?"

I was really excited to see Kate (a model for once) on the cover, but I was really disappointed when I saw the cover itself. It almost seems cheap looking, especially for Vogue. As for the editorials, it's the same thing over and over.. Same models, same backdrop/theme everything. It's kind of sad, because Vogue US has the potential to be something really good. It's a pretty cover though just not very high fashion in my opinion.

I don't know - these images of Catherine breaking off the horse's legs is sort of edgy?

The cover makes me sad despite Sasha's and Tanya's really good editorials. I wait for the day American fashion magazines will finally be about fashion again.

I Know!! Did Anna have a sick day off or something? Her work at US Vogue screams of sexual frustration, the day she gets la*d, Vogue will probably publish an issue on par with Hustler due to all the pent up frustration she'll release.

If you look close you can see the packpage shine through one of the scans, the fonts look alot like US Vogue. It looks like Steven Kleins work or maybe Raymond Meier.

i know this must have been said a million times but that cover is so horrible. but i'm pleasantly suprised with how the editorials turned out. i find the gisele one quite boring and dull but i absolutely love sasha's as well as tanya's.

Thanks for Amber, *ana*. She looks positively dreadful, they made her look at least 20 years old, what a real shame!

yeah i really didn't like it. maybe the same (ugly) hair with another styling or the same styling with another hair would look a bit better... she looks awfully old.
