She did once work for Bob Guccione of Penthouse fame, editing one of his cleaner mags, Viva. When you're on your way up, a job is a job is a job, even though these days she wouldn't be seen dead dirtying her heels on his carpet.

As for the cover, the only way to make Kate Moss acceptable to a middle American audience is to have her look like a senator's wife. Models are used to wearing all kinds of crazy clothes, so it's strange to see one looking so uncomfortable in an outfit, or maybe it's because the dress is so ill-fitting... overall, it looks like she's stolen it from someone else's wardrobe.

But it's timely for her that this cover coincides with the launch of her perfume in the US, though never was there a bigger disparity between a scent and a celebrity's image than with this one. Having failed to bottle the essence of cigarettes at midnight, we instead get freshness and sunlight.

In short, I'm not looking at this cover and thinking "oh, the magic of fashion".

^Welcome back tigerrouge, where u been?? As for Anna at Viva, I would love to see her work from the time and the type of images she produced. Looking back at the cover, it reminds me of one of the ads kate did for Chanel's Coco Mademoiselle, although that was able to make kate look classy while still keeping her looking youthful imo.

I bought the issue and I'm impressed. Best US Vogue I've bought so far, and I've bought quite a few. The editorials were very fresh, nicely done. The articles were interesting and unusual for US Vogue. I liked all of it, and the interview with Kate Moss was nice as well.

I second Lemeray, I'd love to see Kate's ed. This issue has been great so far and her ed is the only thing missing! Thanks in advance

I was hoping for her to have had a bigger editorial photo wise.Something along the lines of the photo with her in the pink jacket and skirt would have been a better cover.

Why does Anna only use Stam for front-of-book or Index features?? Imo, she has the best personal style of all the current crop of tops, I'm still in love with the kimono Dior gown she wore to last year's met ball.

agreed, that with no text, maybe just saying " Kate' would have been nice-then again that's something Vogue Italia would do.

Thanks for the scans, jssy4eva! I've just given you karma! It's a pity that there aren't more pics of Kate but it's a good ed and article, anyway!
