^No, she was in a multi girl ed by Steven Klein in the May 2007 issue and another multi girl picture in March 2008 if I'm not mistaken...it was accompanying an ed about Stefano Pilati .

Agree 100%!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm like Kate Moss!!! Finally something that has the potential to be subversive.

The editorials look BORING as usual.

Same old same old.

US Vogue gets more boring with each issue. Seriously Leibovitz and Testino - could there be anybody more bland???

Even I think I am overdozed with Kate, I am happy that finally a model got American Vogue cover. However, I need to agree with most of you it is typical boring American Vogue cover. Kate looks bit old as well. But i hope edits will be nice. Anyway I will buy this issue for the mere fact that model is gracing it. I think Sasha looks just amazing! it is for the first time, at least for me, when she looks sexy as well... very appealing!

I find in incredibly ironic that they put Kate Moss, as herself, dressed up like a 'business woman'.

She actually looks like a Anna Wintour-clone [style wise] on the cover. And its really not subtle either.

If they are doing an article on Kate Moss as a person, they should have let her style herself.

This isn't fooling anyone. EVERYBODY knows that Moss hung around and maintains the 'rock star' company.

The only message Vogue is sending society is that you can't be yourself and 'be Vogue'. Its a shame. They should promote a more liberal moral agenda.

Kate Moss graces a "Ageless" cover ???? Anna W. did a big mistake (though she did surprise me a lot!)
I just cannot believe this !!! She's just so out of her character ... playing the 40s US bourgeoise businessmama ABSOLUTELY does NOT fit her !!!
the title makes me laugh to death "how kate went from bad girl to business tycoon" ...
or "how anna wintour erase kate's personnality in ONE picture" ...

but still a surprise to see kate on a vogue us cover ...

Karen's edit looks like it's inspired by Grace Coddington and Sasha is giving a Carrie Bradshaw vibe which would also fit into the 40 and 60 ages.

As for the cover, I think we should appreciate the fact that Anna is finding ways to incorporate models onto the cover of Vogue. When was the last time Bazaar, Elle, or ALLURE even tried that much. Of course she is going to have names recognizable to the general public and posed in a traditional way that's proven to sell issues, at this point I'll take a model any way I can get one.

i thought the whole idea of putting kate on the cover was philip green? won't his nyc topshop be opening soon? he sponsored one of anna's charity parties before and maybe he wants a return from her that is promoting his new store. the portrait of her as a business tycoon is just a smokescreen. i was told there are few editorials of her and it's mainly text.

When I saw the thread title I was excited. But when I saw the cover I was shocked and dissapointed. Boring as usual.
I can't wait to see what Kate's ed looks like, and I love the ed about 50's and 60's e.t.c

thanks for posting

The cover is boring. Vogue finally puts a model on the cover and like people said - it looks like any other celebrity.

The cover is so un-Kate Moss (and not in a good way). It doesn't reflect Kate, her style or her personality. It's not what Kate Moss is about. It looks like Kate Moss dressed up as Anna Wintour, which is not what I'm looking for when buying a magazine.

The eds look ok though.
