Let's Dance is one of the more interesting shoots that have happened to Vogue in a while. It's what Emma Stone's ed should have looked like for November.

I really like "Wonder World" - the photos are gorgeous! And I'm so so happy for Birgit for snagging that lengthy of an editorial in US Vogue!

Poor Miranda... she's gives them a wedding exclusive and the cover goes to Gige and her latest boyfriend.

This issue is so desperate... content-wise

Are they struggling with advertisement pages? 164 pages for an August issue sounds very bad to me.

Thanks for the review, Sensation!

Is Angela Merkel's shot by Leibovitz? Also, who is in the Phyllis Posnick single shot? If it wasn't for her feature, and the Josh Olin's one, I would gladly have given this issue a miss.

I'm obsessed with Olins' edit. The concept, shot 5, and the modern vibe sweeping throughout. Whereas I&V got worse shooting for Vogue, Olin's IMO is actually getting better. He's expanding beyond the austere teens we've seen in British Vogue. I expect he'll get a the cover soon, especially since he shot Duchess Kate for that epic cover.

I'm all for pushing new talent, but they can get rid of Theo Wenner! Or at least send his images to the back of the issue where it belongs. The guy's got no distinct vision at all, relies on stunt casting to attract people to his work, and I don't think he's taking this seriously. He's like the Insta girl of photography, only worse, because actually he's getting away with booking all these cushy jobs with zero scrutiny. It's a slap in the face to the likes of Thomas Whiteside or Annemarieke to see this idiot's work in American Vogue.

For all the hype that surrounds her, Birgit Kos have yet to really impress me with her print work. This travel story is barely there, IMO. Love into and closing shots, but it's not the strongest. I'm guessing the unthinkable happened and Testino is actually over it all.

Love Miranda's wedding dress, and I think she looked great.

The Merkel feature (4 pages) only has an artist's portrait of her.

Birgit stole the show in this issue
Fantastic model.

Pictures from my iPhone look better than Theo Wenner's editorial.

Vogue Paris (among others) has done amazing issues where women wear men's clothes - and that's just about it.

If a woman wants to wear a man's clothes, she's risky. She's stylish or a trendy person at best. Gender fluid? Nowhere near.

I 100% agree with the comment of Miss Fame - this is not their life outside the shoot.
Can't agree more. You don't label yourself "gender-fluid" for just swapping clothes, if this issue taught me a lesson.
