I guess the toreadores are there to inject a bit of festiveness to the Dec. cover but I would have much preferred if they were going to shoot Penelope in her hometown that they had chosen to incorporate all the modern architecture that Spain has been championing in recent years.

fairly dull i think... i certainly pictured a cover with her to be a lot more glamourous than this is. this, and i agree with Mullet, is rather cliché. but daria,

Yay!

I just saw Volver recently and have been hoping to see more of Penelope. I certainly wasn't expecting to see her on Vogue! How exciting!

I hated her first Vogue cover (the styling was horrible), so this festive and vibrant cover certainly makes up for that, cliched or not.

As much as Vogue disappoints me at times, this is how you do festive in a different way... vs. tacky Bazaar with their horrendously recycled ideas.

I will be supporting Vogue this month!

I'm also smiling. It could have been another typically boring Vogue USA cover and everyone would have been crying foul as is the norm.

The bullfighers are extremely sexy, too.

I find the cover uninteresting and a bit dull, to be honest - there's nothing that truly captures my attention.

I do wonder if that means an issue without jumping edit at all,or just a replacement of the model.

I don't get why Anna puts foreign actresses on the cover who are only marginally popular here in the states. First Sienna, now Penelope?
