I like the picture itself, even if I'm not a fan of Rooney Mara, it's a nice change from the "smiley" cover's American Vogue usually favors. Though like many other's have stated, it's a shame that Jessica and Jennifer haven't even landed a first cover, they are really popular right now. Also, I have to add that the layout is really horrendous, if I saw it on the newsstand it wouldn't make me want to pick up the issue at all.

Very cool and fresh, it reminds me of seventies and eighties Vogues with their closeups.

These banners are useless - "The most in demand skin experts in town" NO ONE is buying the issue for that.

My response when I saw the who was on the cover was "What? Why?" I don't really understand what merits her having two vogue covers in a year but I'm waaaay over trying to understand Anna anymore.

What type of recycled uninspired mess is this? I mean really with the haphazard hair and layout?! Plus I don't think she's that interesting or pretty.

Looks closer to being an Allure cover than a Vogue cover, let alone an American Vogue cover. I think Rooney has such an interesting face; she has a certain 'it' quality that is quite mesmerizing. She's more beautiful in action than she is in photographs (I find that she almost photographs in a somewhat androgynous way because of how sharp her bone structure is and angles change her face so drastically!); her first cover was miles better, but this one looks kind of floppy for a number of reasons and not just because of the stale cover image. And I really hate the design of the '100 looks 100% American'; It's almost like being talked down to.

I don't see the huge problem in using her, like most people here seem to. I mean it's not like she's 'everywhere' and are we really going to have a conversation about who deserves one or multiple Vogue covers? Being on the cover of Vogue is way past being about what you have done or earned; hasn't been that way in a while. This is 2013, not 2003.

I was honestly expecting and prepared as well to see Kate Upton on the cover cause it'd be something that's really fresh for US Vogue but Rooney isn't a bad choice either. Although I would have wanted to see Jennifer Lawrence or Jessica Chastain instead of her.

I agree. Noticed that as well. I can't help but to compare this one to her debut cover. There are similarities somehow.

Hopefully the editorials would be good. Really hoping for a Meisel one.

Such a cold expression, the colors don't seem right, and I'm anxious to just fix that wild strand of hair. I don't like this at all.
