Perhaps Anna is waiting to see if Chastain or Lawrence win the Oscar first.
Makes for a bigger cover.

I just think that Rooney looks awkward and she did on last years W cover as well.
Ironically I think she looks more awkward being herself, but came across
better or more natural when she was "channeling" Lisbeth in countless editorials.
Maybe we'll need to wait until the next installment of the movie to get that
magic back lol.

Oh and I hate that tired lipstick.

When in doubt, wear red.

I love Rooney and I'm really happy she got the cover but the result is underwhelming, even bad actually. I like the idea of a close-up shot especially with such a gorgeous girl but this is poorly executed and I don't like what she's wearing.

I honestly really like the fact that this cover is a bit different from what we normally get at US Vogue, for better or worse.

I can see Jennifer Lawrence getting a cover in the fall when Catching Fire comes out, tbh.

I like how different it is but Rooney doesn't seem to have the same confident expression that she usually has in most of her covers.

I would have prefered Kate Upton compared to this crap. It's like you get one good movie and a few pretty red carpet moments and suddenly you're a multi Vogue cover girl. SMH

The layout and color scheme are amateurish and outdated.

Funny thing, people now saying they wish it was Kate Upton
I agree Rooney usually looks better in movies, she has such a distinctive, cold, mysterious look which I love but can't see it print.

I need to elaborate on my first comment :
I dislike that the text covers Rooney's face on both sides. The text is not too much, but it could have been placed better. The hair on the forehead is annoying too. But somehow it's so much better to see Rooney than Kate Upton.

what exactly do rooney mara's melancholic expression and somber disposition have to do with red, white, and blue and all things american....? seems a little disjointed and i'm disappointed.

Considering Blake Lively has already had two Vogue US covers, I won't complain about Rooney's second one.

Omg such a beautiful cover, ok the hair on her forehead is a bit annoying.
Still her eyes and sad but honest expression is magnificent
