I like the ambience of the cover, but it does feel more representative of late summer/early autumn than June.

The choice of Keira is very boring and predictable as are the names on the best dressed list but I don't expect anything else anymore.

It's definitely predictable with her huge movie coming out, although I really thought it would be Kirsten instead. I like Keira but this is not her best cover and as most have already mentioned it's pretty boring... In addition, she is not that fantastic as an actress or celebrity to merit so many covers in such a short time. I guess she is a favourite up at Vogue HQ.

I guess models gracing the cover was a one-time only thing.

I have never had a problem with Vogue using celebrities on their covers. However I do have a problem with them recycling the same tired celebrities over and over within such a short period of time- Keira and Drew Barrymore come to mind. Anna is stuck on the blandest of young stars it seems- Kirsten Dunst photographs worse than any female celeb out their yet continues to get covers. It's even worse when she insists on pass-their-prime celebs like Nicole Kidman, Sandra Bullock, Renee Zellweger and Uma Thurman. There has got to be other actresses with projects coming out who are worthy of covers.

If you are going to use celebrities at least try to make an artistic impression with the photo- don't just put them in designer clothes and sit them in the grass or on the beach to stare at the camera. Try to tell a story with the picture or something.

I think Vogue could benefit from a new editor-in-chief. I'm tired of Anna's obsession with bland models like Trentini. She recycles models more than she does celebrities. With so many interesting faces out there, there is no excuse not to showcase different models in each issue.

Amen to to everything you said!

i just wish it was more of a summery cover...its so heavily autumn-like June is such a fun month, and they should have portrayed that on the cover.

Ahem. I told you so, didn't I?

From the cover rumor thread:

My money's on Keira Knightley. POTC 3 will inevitably make a killing at the box office, so it would be idiotic for Anna to pass up that chance.
