US Vogue June 2007 : Keira Knightley

Why...

From ebay.com:

This was all I could find on ebay, no further details about the content.

Mikel, you are the Sherlock Holmes of fashionspot! Thanks for tracking this down - and it's an unexpected cover, Keira dressed as a peasant, sitting in a cornfield. Can't say it immediately fills me with anticipation, but I suppose the fact that it's so unexpected is something in itself.

Keira is blah, but the cover doesn't look too bad. It could be worse.

I agree it looks kind of autumny, though.. more suited for August than June.

Hahaha, thank you!

I must say I not sure about the cover yet, the pic is of course of a very poor quality, I have to see a bigger scan, but a Keira cover a year after her last one is a bit of a let down, especially after the fabulous cover last month.

Extremely underwhelming. Wasn't her May 2006 cover boring enough?

I guess she is wearing that garish Balenciaga dress ,at least i have Kate Moss to look forward to

I wish Keira would hurry up and quit acting. It looks like a Teen Vogue cover.
And "Desperate Housewife: Comic confessions of a married mother!". High 5 on the original and thought provoking journalism there Vogue US

They did the exact same cover with another actress a long time ago. I feel as if I've seen the same scenery, styling, the red font all together once before

If this were an autumn cover, there'd be a big combine harvester coming up behind her, with the blades whirring. But the sight of someone sitting in a field is unexpected to me - even if the cover star isn't - because I somehow associate US Vogue with 'sophisticated city style' rather than anything so plainly rustic.

I think it was Reece in a field in 2005... I also remember Linda in a field on some September issue, I think it was 2001... and Gisele-on-safari in the same year, on a summer issue.

Has swimwear been abolished from the cover of US Vogue? Surely June-July are timely months for showcasing chic swimwear as well as encouraging us to feel super-paranoid about our bodies and then buy more beauty products. There hasn't been a super-glam swimwear cover since the days of Carmen Kass (I don't count last year's Uma cover because she looked a big matronly. Lovely but... matronly.)

I actually kinda like this cover. The writing isn't as overwhelming and all over the place as usual. But the fact that they keep putting Keira Knightley on the cover is getting a little old.
