I think it's so funny that month after month, TFSers complain about vogue being boring or passe or whatever, then the second it does something slightly different, an uproar ensues.

I think the argument re: celebrities and athletes is totally specious. Actresses are no more connected to the fashion world than athletes are. They might wear designer clothes more often joe average, but that's a pretty unremarkable connection, not to mention one that athletes like Serena Williams or Maria Sharapova also have.

Anyway -- it's just funny to me that so many people complain about this and also complain about the status quo. The status quo at Vogue is the status quo because when things change, y'all complain!

The J-Lo images, are they the ones Testino shot that we all thought got pulled in favour of the M&M shoot? Maybe she was always shot twice, and no re-shoot occurred. Is she in a white swimsuit...?

I think the first shot in Karlie's ed is a stunner, and she wears dresses like those so well, but at the same time, you have a girl who says she'll take on any sport, and you pair her with athletes - in clothes she can hardly move in? Seems a waste of the moment to me, there could have been some great interaction.

I find that odd that J-Lo is featured yet again, anyway I don't know about anyone else but I'm loving all these sports inspired covers and editorials in magazines. I have no complaints seeming as the Olympics doesn't come by until every few years. Is there more to come from Karlie's editorial?

Those swimsuits are some of the ugliest things I've seen on a Vogue cover ever.

I don't mind the cover stars choice, it's an Olympic issue so it's perfecly fine that she chose them. Also people should stop bashing Serena Williams, we all know Anna loves Tennis and Serena Williams is basically the most famous American female tennis player right now so I really don't get the fuss.

My only problem here is the execution. I really hate this kind of Leibovitz overused themes and her terrible photoshoping. Besides the models+athletes is an overused formula too. Why not dedicating an entire issue to athletes and let them model on their own ??

I actually think Serena is the best thing about the cover, Hope's arm just looks awkward. The idea is great but the final product isn't great.
