I love that article you posted and I think its right on, I mean we all saw the mediaweek numbers. There are only a few celebs that can really move magazines so it seems useless to only push them for covers. The economy has definitely shifted things in more ways than one, hopefully it marks the return of the model, if only for a short period of time. I'm glad to see interesting girls like Lara getting so much press.

A little dissapointed on the cover, but the content makes up for it.
This has to be the best US Vogue cover ever, I hope it sells well so that they feature more models frequently

i just wish they hadn't used Raquel again, she's ugly.

What a fantastic issue....I refuse to read the Meisel article untill I can read it from some glossy paper so I am not gonna comment on that yet. The Godfather is brilliant, I love it. It's a collection of faces any model enthusiast has envisioned many a time in his head and now suddenly it's in print. Love it.

About the covertexts, I don't think Faces of the Moment is applicable either. Looking at the collection of models in this issue it's more Faces of the Decade. The only other complaint I have is that there is no sign of Gemma Ward, Julia Stegner and Elise Crombez in this issue. Meisel invented Gemma and the whole generation of models that came after her, so she is definetly missing in absence. Julia and Elise because they were his supposed New Trinity together with Daria (why is she not in The Godfather?). They were his current Anna J!

But seriously, this is more like a remark than a complaint, because this issue is heaven to me. If only Vogue would go back to regular model covers...but then again, it would take away from the impact an issue such as this one has (or May 07, Sept 05 for that matter)

I think the last issue of US Vogue I bought was May 2008,so it's about time I bought it again

I still feel ever so slightly underwhelmed by this so far,I mean it's good,but I don't see anything particularly groundbreaking that makes me wanna scream

I love the cover. It's not perfect, but what it represents that is so beautiful. Plus, 5 of my favorite models are on it, Caroline looks absolutely stunning. I just think it seems that Lara doesn't belong to there, she seems a little off

I agree with those who don't get why Anna J is on the main cover when you have other more important models. I think the fold-out should be the main cover, it's so much more beautiful

But I can't complain. This moment has been the most expected one since the beginning of the year and I'm glad the wait is over. I think the moment is more important than the cover itself. This is a must-buy for sure!

The boyfriend/girlfriend ed is so cute, it's adorable
