The spread is a bit better than the cover, but it wasn't executed as well at the Kirsten Dunst as Marie Antoinette cover years back.

The rest of the photo in editorial are better than cover shot

It's not the best editorial or cover.. It feels uninspired. The 20s is such a replicated era and instead of bringing something new or presenting an interesting take on it, it just delivered imagery and styling that's been done so many times. Quite lazy..

I love the dress and jewelry, but the make up and her hair and what's on top of that, I don't like that at all. The ed is nice.

Actually, I'm failing to find an element I dislike about the cover. Although I'm not the slightest bit interested in The Great Gatsby, I was expecting Carey to be in character which I don't mind. The colour of the dress contributes a modern element towards the 1920's reference, I think.

Terrible! Not a fan of the cover or the editorial. I wonder what else is inside any reviews?

If I was Anna, then I would go for the layout like this ( pls ignore the fonts from Vogue Paris ):

I mean, how could Anna's team have been using these sort of tasteless bold fonts on covers for years and never feel bored?

Besides, too many texts filled on the cover simply makes it cheap.

Anna, with no doubt, is a successful business man, but her taste is just out of satisfaction. She could have picked up a better cover look from Mario, not just this time, but many times for many issues.

It sells, tbh. They're not trying to be some "avant-garde" magazine (although I'd hesitate to call any current fashion magazine "avant-garde." That's just not the purpose of this magazine and I don't see why people can just accept it at this point. There are lots of ways they can improve, but there is nothing they're going to do about it.

After seeing the HQ I don't think the cover is among their worst at all. It's far from their best, but it's an okay cover. I think.

Tom Hiddleston in Vogue??? I'll take it! Hopefully this makes up for the lackluster cover.
