I think there is really a dearth of ideas when it comes to covers. Vogue goes for the very obvious choice of face shot + eye contact and that idea is very old and in some ways passe. Testino is one of the best when it comes to capturing celebrities and yet they image they picked for the cover is the weakest of the entire set. I think this is one of the nicest celebrity pictorials they've done in ages and yet the cover is so weak. Imagine how nice that picture of her and Oliver with the lipstick or the dramatic photo of her in the Armani Prive black and white gown would look as covers.

I will do an editorial review the moment I get time, at the very least I'll do it when I get home if no one beats me to it that is. tFS moves at the speed of light!

I hate boring covers where the covergirl just stares at the camera. She has really nice eyes, though. Her last cover was much better. I like the pictures inside, though. The Balenciaga dress!

^^The dress in question here is the Alexander McQueen resort.I think. Although it looks like FW Balenciaga it is McQueen.

the cover like the photo for her passport...quite upset.compare to Vogue cover 20 years ago(Nov 1988), the first issue of Anna Wintour as the editor in chief. The model (Michella if I'm not wrong) wears her own jean with Christian Lacroix's black jacket with the embroider cross on front. It's so stunning and the model look lively with fully smile and nearly closed eyes(it's one prohibit for the cover, model has no eyes contact). I still keep the isssue,
Paris Couture 'Haute but not Haughty' is one of the captions on the cover, it's unforgettable issue. but this Nov issue, I think I 'm right to give up my US Vogue's subscription with the local newstand 3 month ago. in Bangkok the cover price of vogue is nearly 15 times of one meal 'Phad Thai' or 'Jasmin Rice top with stir-fried pork and holy basil with one fried egg' from the hawker, Thank you Anna Wintour, You save my life, and this community and style.com save my style.

i quite like the editorial, olivier and reese have pretty contrasting looks... but he alone is worth buying the issue

i wonder who would expect themselves to be surprised by us vogue covers anymore...

she looks beautiful on this cover too...
on who wins the red/white/blue cover battle, i've gotta say vogue...
thanks for the scan luxx...
and i agree, after seeing all the images, they picked the worst one for the cover...
the shot of her on the balcony/railing is stunning...

The cover is a bit boring but the pictures are great (except the black and white one with olivier adjusting her dress).
Let's wait and see more.
I don't feel dissapointed with Vogue US because I know their style and I appreciate it. I also know about the styles of the other Vogues, so when I am looking for something more shocking, exciting and haute I look for Vogue Paris.

reese is a welcome cover subject IMO.
let's hope this profile is longer than bazaar's paltry one page story last year.
