They could use a shakeup, this reminds me of an issue of InStyle.

What I like about US Vogue is tht they focus in the here and now article wise. I love that they don't fill their issues with yet another article on Jane Birkin or the supermodel era. They focus on the newest architect.. Food trend.. Politician.. Yes these may not be about clothes but the world of fashion should be more than that and Anna sees this. Besides do we really need another article on the Birkin or guest edited by Karl Lagerfeld? Every other fashion magazine offers the sane ideas.

Whilst this might not be the strongest of issues, I do think the editorial content looks very satisfying - which I guess is what matters most to a reader.

It's evident McDean's story is the stand-out spread, with Sasha looking amazing as ever and the classic American Vogue concept. I often find myself getting frustrated over the same recycled ideas, and then on the other hand I think it's best to stick to what you know. I do notice American Vogue tend to inject at least one different element into their recycled stories, which make the end product look fresh and revitalized. That's one thing I cannot say about American Bazaar (even though I love myself a copy of Bazaar's latest issue).

This wouldn't have been Mario's retouching. Vogue infamously takes all photographer's images and do their own retouching over what has already been done. If you look at Mario's work before US Vogue, the stuff he did with Carine, Steven Gan, Vissionaire etc, you can see that this kind of retouching is not his style. This is quite frankly, an American Vogue problem. And American Vogue is a BIG problem.

Are you kidding me? We all know American Vogue is the numbere one in retouching but if you have seen Testino´s recent work you can see that its all super photoshoped no matter what the publication or campaign is, from the body to the faces there is not one MT photo that looks natural.

All of Testino's retouching is done by R&D in London, you should see what it looks like before the retouching, trust me, it needs it.
