My fears were justified after all. It's way too similar to Michelle Williams' cover in terms of colouring and styling.

I am in utter AWE! This is the first exciting Vogue US cover of the last few years.
It's not only because they used Carey but because the shoot is done taking from her simple beauty and style, which works amazingly with the couture. It makes it look fresh and current.
I am in love!

I just saw photos from "An Education", and Carey defnitely had dark hair in that movie.

What a really lovely cover! And it's so good to see someone new at US Vogue. I hope the editorial content will live up to expectations.

I'm really happy that Carey is on the cover, but this looks like Spring and not Autumn.

The preview shot in the red coat would have made a much better cover
I don't get it with US Vogue anymore

on a side note: JJ with the watermarks all over the picture, enough already!

People keep saying this but practically every other US Vogue the past year has featured someone who's never been on Vogue before.

Not crazy about the cover but I must admit that it's better than I expected!

I think the cover and editorial with miss Mulligan is are gorgeous and charming. The clothes are stunning in my eyes. The only thing I don't like is her hat and hairstyle. Thanks so much for all the pictures.

the year started good but of these past six issues only Marion was a fresh face

ETA: oh wait, Marion was on that shared cover so that rules her out..

If she were smiling then this would be great cover, but she looks dreadful. Seems like she does not like being in front of the camera at all. Puzzling, because her Interview cover was gorgeous.

The editorial looks rather lovely and I wish I could blame it all on whoever thought that shot was good enough for a cover but really, everything that's been bothering me about Carey is that horrible pixie haircut/haircolor.. it suits other people, not her or Michelle Williams for that matter, these actresses need to stop thinking chopping it all off takes their style to the next level.. if you already have facial features that are kind of too 'cutesy', emphasizing it just takes it from cute to cartoonish.. /rant.

I still need to pick up my September issue.

I love that she's on the cover of US Vogue, finally its not someone who's already been on about five times! However, once I saw the actually cover... well lets just say its not very pleasing for the eyes. It looks like she aged about ten years, especially with that hair color and way the hair is set (it reminds me of my mothers hairstyle which looks nice on her but you know she's 50 not 20 something like Carey is).

I still think that Marion counts, as I like to pretend the November 2009 cover doesn't exist.
