Good choices! I can't stand it when someone gets cast to play a famous person that they look nothing like.

And I get the funny feeling that her role (and the movie itself) will suck. I don't like this cover at all.

Her last interview in Vogue was really interesting so I'm looking forward to reading the article - it always seems that there is something more to learn about Michelle and she rarely divulges any information to the press.

As a cover though its very dissapointing. They should have probably steered clear from a direct Marylin reference, pose hair makeup and all. This looks like they just placed any other celebrity impersonater from the streets of LA on the cover. There's nothing really Michelle Williams about this.

Most of the actresses you listed are sorely lacking in substance. To me, this portrayal of Marilyn Monroe seems to be a very highbrow. I'm hoping they will successfully delve into this charismatic person, who after so many decades, is still fascinating to the public. This type of portrayal calls for an emotionally demanding actor, not someone who can just do an impression (*COUGH* JAMIE FOXX). It kind of bugs me that people keep saying she is lacking in sex appeal. I really don't think that is relevant to the film whatsoever. The film appears to be focusing on one of Monroe's most vulnerable moments in her life, not to mention it will show her 'behind the camera' and how her persona was off-screen.

hmm im not crazy about her or the image really, but any good feelings towards it are crushed by the ugly text overload! its just so cheap looking. just once i would love to se us vogue tone down the text and really let their cover shots speak for themselves!

MOD NOTE: Please try to keep discussions on whether or not Michelle is a good fit as Marilyn to stay on topic. Meaning how she looks on the cover/editorial not how she will be in the film or who you would have preferred for that. That's for The Entertainment Spot section of this forum.

First of all, Michelle Williams has ZERO personality/charisma. Secondly, this cover looks more like a Vanity Fair cover they passed on! What a shame after last month's stellar Kate cover.
