After seeing the cover in full, I have to say I'd prefer it in black and white a la classic Lindbergh. When was the last time US Vogue had a b&w cover?

Can't VOGUE US photoshop her awkward facial expression a bit?

Sandra looks like Kris Jenner on this cover. That's quite sad.

I feel that Vogue US is taking another direction on its content. More and more celebrities involved in editorials and fewer fashion editorials and models in every issue. Where is the fashion?

Although it's great to see some fresh names of photographers here. I really want to see Meisel back to Vogue US.

After seeing the full cover, I can say that the hair is really bad. Other than that it's an ok cover.

My exact thoughts. Even in that cropped b/w preview the sequins on the dress just popped. The hair itself is an abomination, why not just do a pretty chignon or have the hair sweeping over the right shoulder? I wonder sometimes if the Art Dept are on the floor laughing when the shots come in!

Also, Grace's ed for me at least is really flat. I love Karen, and I know Grace has cited her as her favourite model, but it isn't her best work.

I was so excited to hear Sandra was going to be on this cover, pity it's not a good cover. The hair is awful and what is she wearing? It's awful too.

The content sounds horribly boring, like really. Karen looks good in her ed though.

I agree, US Vogue seems lately to be more celebrity directed (actors, singers, bloggers, people who get photographed frequently outside shows...) The past couple years have been great but at least the couple or so past issues have a different direction. Their September and October issues should be the best of the year, but Sept fell really hard and flat, and this Oct. issue seems the same.

I really enjoy The Other Man, and am really surprised that Annie produced something that for once looks rich, deep and real - no glowy Photoshop nonsense. I love the use of the set. Karen looks in half-blink in the first photo though.

Again I hawill bring up the Daria Werbowy/Mert and Marcus ed shot in Venice in April, guess they ditched it...
