Vanity Fair throws so much shade with these Dead Celebrity covers. Basically saying no modern celebs are as interesting or glamorous as past stars (it's true), but there are some who could be worth interviewing.

She reminds me Rooney Mara.

^^ Seriously! And i second that there is plenty of interesting women & men in Hollywood who are worthy to put on the cover.

But that said i like Audrey and don't mind this, but the layout really doesn't work for me, looks too "fan made" to take seriously.

I would have preferred it if they didn't colour the background in red but a softer colour.

^I agree, lovely pic, but the contrast between her and the red background looks fake due to photoshop.

A beautiful picture of a truly beautiful woman, there is no denying that, but I don't get VF's obsession with these dead celeb covers, I agree with the others, there are so many relevant stars who still haven't graced their cover. Had she passed recently I could maybe get it.

I've just completely gone off this magazine lately, even their articles have become 'gossipy' and 'tabloidy'.

Sometimes I think they should just change the name to Mortuary Monthly...

And I LOVE Audrey Hepburn, Old Hollywood and nostalgia but there are interesting things happening with the living.

Of course Audrey looks beautiful, she was always lovely (and goodness knows I love my share of old hollywood stars), but these covers featuring deceased celebrities are incredibly boring. Plus, I could have sworn she was given a cover last year. Or is it just deja vu? When I see covers like this one it does make me wonder how Vanity Fair still manages to make a profit. You would think they would want to create something new rather then just colorize a photo that people have already seen. It's not creative at all.

VF covers are usually so filled with text. This cover is beautiful and it would be nice if they continue spare-text covers in the future.

I believe this is only Hepburn's second cover (her first appears to have the May 1991 issue.) A Kennedy is due soon, I'm sure.

I'm sure their Kennedy and Monroe covers sell really well. Tried and true
