The model on Double Agent is Nadja Bender and it's a reprint from Vogue Paris. What a disappointing and very underwhelming issue, I've expected a lot more especially since the stunning debut of the new editor. The fact that they got Lana Del Rey and they did this atrocity is unacceptable.

Vogue Australia October 2012 review:
272 pages

A Star is Torn
Singer Lana Del Rey has turned a misspent youth into a chronicle of love and lust, and is now on the cusp of a new direction.
M. Lana Del Rey
Ph. Nicole Bentley
F'Ed. Christine Centenera
Hair. Anna Cofone
Make-up. Pamela Cochrane
Manicure. Mandi Levanah
10 pages
(Cover/main editorial + article - shot in Sydney whilst Lana was touring; a really stunning, subtle, vintage-esque, old-school librarian setting. Beautiful in real life, and Lana looks really delicate and soft rather than the focus always being on her lips.)

Sweet Serenade
Raw talent, sublime vocals and a certain magic have seen these young songstresses take a strong hold on Australia's musical landscape.
M. Kimbra, Emma Louise, Megan Washington, Julia Stone, Jessica Mauboy, Sarah Blasko, Lisa Mitchell, Emma Birdsall, Ladyhawke & Sarah De Bono
Ph. Derek Henderson
F'Ed. Christine Centenera
Hair. Alan White
Make-up. Victoria Baron
20 pages
(Shots of Australia's most promising female musicians; ties in with this year's FNO theme of 'Vogue meets music'. Also includes a mini interview of each artist.)

Generation Now
Each of these local design stars is storming the global fashion scene in his own unique way.
M. Josh Goot, Christopher Esber, Dion Lee & Montana Cox/Chic Management
Ph. Pierre Toussaint
F'Ed. Christine Centenera
Hair. Stephanie Farouze
Make-up. Damian Garozzo
6 pages
(Article/profile of Australia's most promising designers, with an ed of Montana modelling their looks. Shot in Paris)

Escape Capsule
Take your spring wardrobe from city to surf with resort looks made for a moment in the sun.
M. Heidi Mount/Marilyn
Ph. Gregory Harris
F'Ed. Stevie Dance
Hair. Tamara McNaughton
Make-up. Karan Franjola
8 pages
(Cool resort pieces, shot in Montauk, NY)

Beauty Queen - makeup artist, Lisa Eldridge interview/article/editorial of Lisa in her London home.
An affair to remember - an article on Anna Piaggi's visit to Australia, and her friendship with Vern Lambert.
Making Tracks - Article on Lily Kwong's recent trip to Shanghai for the LV presentation, shot by Candice Lake.
The heist - article on the friendship/work between Helmut Newton and Maggie Tabberer.
Also includes a mini Matches supplement.

Double Agent - Nadja Bender's Vogue Paris editorial reprint.

Oh, the shot of Heidi Mount wearing the MaxMara vest and HermŤs swimsuit would have created a nice cover also.

i dont like the choice of the cover, i wish they used a model instead but this is a good celeb cover, not boring like celeb covers usually are.

I like Lana's ed and the tribute to Anna, but the rest is just OK. Very disappointing October issue.
