Considering that this is supposed to be a bridal edition, you would think they could make it a bit more like the Indian wedding which is a colourful joyous event, this is soooo boring.
Yes Posh looks lovely in a sari, but I don't know any brides who would wear that sari on their wedding day...it is a little out there (well maybe for my family).
And the wig is horrendous, and completely unnecessary, I agree with others on this thread who said they would have preferred seeing her with short hair. I would have been a nice contrast with the sari.

I don't think anyone would find it offensive....the indian media loves seeing western celebs dressing up in indian attire....
I think this is the first time an indian outfit has actually been on the cover, otherwise its just bollywood actress' in a gown etc
I hadn't noticed that before. That is truly disappointing that this is the first time they had an indian outfit featured on the cover, hopefully they every so often put another one on, except without the ratty wig.

Yes .. I definitely do see that! It could be interesting how people react to this .. but maybe we're just over thinking it.
I agree, the shot on the right looks a lot better than the actual cover shot. She looks so delicate and pretty, a side I rarely see her, usually shes just "no-smile Deadly Fierce"-if that makes sense.
But it could be read the wrong way by people. I see allusions to the British occupation of India in this cover.
Posh dressed up in a sari? It could be offensive to some.
I agree completely with you. There's something very disturbing to me about some of these vogues (China, India) covers where there is a distinct lack of homegrown talent and instead lots of white westerners (Agyness Deyn on China Nov 08 and Victoria Beckham on Indian Nov 08? Thats weird). Its just odd? Uncomfortable?
