I can't wait to buy this issue and look back on it in a couple years after the Twitter fad has faded.

I'm excited to see scans of this and buy it in real life; I have a feeling it will look a lot better in print.

Although I find it too literal as well I think the girls pull it off.
The pictures don't feel staged and for me that adds an authenticity

I guess we now know what effect this economic downturn will have on VI. This issue. Seriously, it looks like they couldn't afford a photographer, nor a stylist, nor an editor, nor an art director, nobody really. I bet the interns were in charge of this issue. Or maybe it was "Bring your child to work day" or something and the youngsters got the crash course in magazine production.

And I still don't understand how Meisel should be getting credit for these pictures or being called genius, talented, funny, etc, when it seems he had little to nothing to do with actually taking the pictures. And also, do millions of teens who post identical pictures on the web every day deserve those titles too?

A crowd of a$$ kissers would say anything for Meisel.I'm still on the fence about this. The only interesting thing is Freja(albeit indirectly) in a Meisel ed.

Back to this issue, it's so funny! I don't think Meisel is making fun of people, because each girl is portrayed differently. Really I can't see much commentary here - just a novel concept for an editorial

Too bad Snejana wasn't chosen. Would love to see shots she took

I think it is really witty and pokes fun at the whole industry

This is getting so much flack which I think is hillarious. I think it's probably the effect and response they were hoping/planning/expecting for. Social Commentary, despite being commentary always slips through on the sly and reactions like this prove how ingrained into society, and familiar these things are. What I love is how VI often distances it's self with it's readers like this - remaining untouchably Vogue. Interestingly, it's conversly the effect of celebrity twitter over exposure and over familiarity with total strangers.

I also love it slips through on the bounds of reality, making it feel over familiar, rather than the oft fantasy world of fashion. Which I think is a large part of the reaction here.

It's genious and THANKYOU Vogue Italia for continuing to push boundaries in tough uncertain times. What a way to end the decade.
