I'm pretty sure it's because they have to import it overseas or something. But I think it's worth it.

Yeah that's true. Should have thought about that before I posted.

yes, you would be surprised! i think Africa is always portrayed in a really backwards way just dependent on aid save this save that. Africa is a big continent with lots of countries and different cultures and economies. I know for one thing i know Nigerians/Ghanaians and Egyptian women and men really love fashion and there is a strong culture of looking good and Nigeria just like India is a rising economic power.

I really thought it was a bit odd for Gemma Ward to be on the first edition of Indian Vogue but thats another issue.

And yes naomi's pics are all right but the others stole the show for sure

I am so pumped for this.

How big is this issue going to be? I assume gigantic, if you consider that every single one of the girls listed are in an edit.

Ahhh I can't wait to look at this.If I get a job and money I am so buying this.

^i don't think so. some are in multi-girl, others have only girl, and i think some are both. this should definitely be a big issue.

Online?

What about ordering the magazine online is there a site where you can do that? Where they deliver to Canada?

I think she has the alek wek aesthetic. (shaved head, dark and yummy complexion, muscular body etc.) not necessarily that she looks like Alek...but you guys get the point!

i cn agree that this issue is landmark, i kind of feel like namig it the "black issue" makes it a novelty...

i wish they had chosen a cover name like "beautiful" which underlines the purpose of the issue!
