I'm so happy for Alva. But speaking of Pat I'm so sad she isn't in this. People talk about a girl doing 'notable' work...what about Pat?! She's walked the runway & worked for many, was in Vogue & did the GQ thing first!

I agree about all the undeserved flack and criticisms that Tyra has been getting. Without her many of the recent models of today would have never of made it so far! Chanel Iman has mentioned many times that she counts Tyra as one of her mentors in the industry. Also, the whole point of this issue is not only to create a future in the industry for all the new girls, but to also pay respect to all the girls who came before them.

She is included. Her name is on the cover.

Pat Cleveland's face is so distinct - can't wait to see it captured by Meisel.

The suspense is killing me with this issue!!

Sessilee is so hardcore! There isn't any other way to describe her... she just has that Grace Jones robot-diva thing going on. I love her!

I hope this isn't a one-off for the Vogues... we really do need to see more colored faces in high fashion, diversity is beautiful.

I dislike Tyra too but I agree that before her VS stuff, she was the only black model besides Naomi that you could see on the New York, Milan and Paris runways. And Steven has worked with her before so she deserves a page in this issue.

I would've love to see Georgianna Robertson, though. I don't think she's included. The last time I saw her was on Pret-a-Porter and Elle Top Model magazine. Elle Top Model should be published again, i think.

I'm disappointed the first black model to ever make the cover of American Vogue is not in the issue - Beverly Johnson

I agree that Sessilee is really fab. I hope Anna and Carine would put her on the covers soon. I mean if Anna and Steven put Chanel Iman on a US Vogue cover , Sessilee should have her own, too. She's way much prettier, more fabulous and more "haute-y" for me. This might just be a dream though.
