I'm not a Tyra fan but she was and is bigger than any of the girls that were in the last V supermodel issue.

Sorry to divert the topic. Patiently waiting for VI .
i guess my definition of super is much more elitist, cause heidi wouldn't be included. (gisele would be the last)i havn't heard of a single notable accomplishment she's had in high fashion, which is the arena in modeling that really models to me and i'm assuming matters to vogue italia. heidi is an excellent, beautiful, well know lingerie and bathing suit model, but without the ability to cross over she isn't a quality super in my book.

also, i hadn't known about all of tyra's accomplishments in high fashion (thanks for informing) because that was before my time. all i know of her now, in the past near decade or so that she's been doing solely commercial work she's just become such a egotistical, ratings-hungry person that it leaves a very sour taste in my mouth, and makes me very biased on the subject of tyra

and i really don't think you can give tyra all the credit for starting this 'ethnic girls' movement (please, her head doesn't need to get any bigger even if it is true). naomi and others have done their fair share of bitching about the lack of colour too.

Hell, Brandi is not included as well?! noooo this is dissapointing... she was Chanel's face for god sake! I wonder if this issue will ever reach UK...

Has anyone mentioned Grace Jones? She is uber iconic, and a shame to miss her here.

Sometimes ratings hungry people do good things - it's all nice to be vocal about the lack of black models, as Naomi has been, but it's also an achievement to make a highly successful show featuring plenty of black models (though few of the models on the show are good models).

I would've love to see Georgianna Robertson, though. I don't think she's included. The last time I saw her was on Pret-a-Porter and Elle Top Model magazine. Elle Top Model should be published again, i think.
Blue, you know I got love for you but what about V.Webb or Beverly Peele or Sonia Cole and some others who did more on the runway back than outside of Naomi. There was quite a selection of models of color back than, but I guess being on TV clouds the picture for some.
**And you brought up Georgianna, would've loved to see her too! She's actually been on the cover of Vogue, worked with YSL,Victoria's Secret,L'Oreal, etc.

Do we have a list of names, yet, for models that will be included in the issue?

There may be more than one cover as opposed to a fold out.
Here is Sesselie's cover courtesy of her mother.

At first I didn't like this cover but seeing it in better quality, I really like it! Thank you!

Oh, I can't wait to see the editorials and more pics! The suspense is killing me. At least I can see all the scans/pics on the forum. It takes bookstores in my area ages to get Vogue Italia and Vogue Paris.
