Toccara and the triumph of photoshop!

All this models are undoubtedly stunning, but I hate this 90s/80s supermodel images, It's dated, it´s lazy and We've seen it done with black models over and over and over again.

I find this issue lacking in artistic diversity ..used to feel so excited about it but now it bores me. I'm shocked they published such a tacky FHM style editorial with Toccarra. Who thought of that concept?! Sessilee's editorial is the best thing about this and maybe Naomi's... but I feel like I have Naomi's image burned into my retinas these days

It seems Meisel regarded the idea of this issue as so exciting he didn't have to use his imagination for the shoots themselves >.<

The only shot I kind of like from Toccara's is the last one.I just think more could have been done with it overall, not extremely original.

Yasmine's is lovely, and the beauty edit is good.But the other two(Modern Luxe and Naomi's) sort of bore me.

^^ Probably the same person who thought of the one with Eva Mendes? Heh. Well...I love the fur coat and I actually do like the scan of her in the car with her hands over her breasts. For such an overt set-up her face has this quiet, even kind of melancholic look (rather than just blank or blissed out).

The last one though...*ahem*...pretty phallic .

I adore Yasmin's editorial, every single shot is lovely.
Toccara's on the otherhand, while I think she has a lovely face, I wish they would have styled her better.

Yes. Maybe something kind of jazz age? Not sure where that came from except I could see her in cute headgear with feathers. Maybe the problem is finding the right sort of clothes to build an edit on (ie nothing high fashion is gonna fit her). However I totally remember that other plus-sized model...I forgot her name but she's walked for JPG. She did a couture edit (sort of...the clothes were kind artfully dangling off her frame ) and it was very, very good, eye-catching and beautiful. So it can be done.

Wow...I dont know who to blame for this. I mean its just all wrong. The only decent shots are 5 and 10. She has a great face and they could've put some clothes on her! Styling/clothes would've complimented her...b/c the way she's dressed,how can I put this without offending...it just looks pornish! Again 13 pages for this...oh no no!
