Definitely very dark and gothic for a July cover, but who cares if it looks this good. It may not be your cup of tea as far as styling goes, but damn that's a great picture!

I can see what you mean...I def think that going with a fold-out was a way to make it more fitting for a cover image. I remember when Vogue IT would do these type of eds and have something more singular of an image for the cover...something more of a stand-out, maybe an only girl cover. You can definitely imagine how/what the story will look like because of the picture on the cover. Before, their covers would act more like a teaser for what's inside, instead of feeling like it was a preview/edited out from a larger edit of pictures. But damn it's so good. I love the austere mood in this..
Just wow . This is the kind of cover I've been waiting to see from Meisel these past two years. It reminds me of his early 2000's work (especially a couture story from 2003). It's so good I don't even care I can't ID any of the girls. This is the kind of cover I'll wait to show up every day at my store .
I love the idea of cycling through the air on beautiful black layers. It is probably the most decent cover VI has put out this year, but I'm still not a fan. I feel like it only took a better angle and the right text colors to make this superb and they still couldn't do that.
Even though I'm not a sucker for all things goth , with it still being airy, the suspended outcome pretty much pleases me, as model selection as well. Lol, the season mark being yellow hurts my eyes a bit, but let's not get into details... Hope the content turns out as nearly likeable as this.
