I love the cover but the ed looks bland.
Freja's ed is gorgeous.

Kamila reminds me of my third-grade teacher. But she was a very nice old lady, mind you.

I assume the boring Greg Williams story is Vogue Suggestions? Then it's fine. Can't wait to see the Roversi ed in HQ, and I hope there'll be plenty more goodies in this issue (there should be!)...

Thanks for the pics!

im definitely not buying this, vogue italia has been terribly disappointing lately and this seems to be no exception... waste of money and paper to be told.

to kamila's appeal... i really love her attitude... she's not trying - not even hard - to sweat out a pose for any cost, she looks sick, and personally, she epitomizes the absurdity, mature disrupted existentionalist (no cheesy emo though, ewww) and the kind of darkness (that i feel to hang in the air) to me, which i love... she rarely smile - i love that. she's nondescript but eyecatching. she looks bored but not boring... she's the kind of girl whom i'd like to spend hours sitting all quiet with...

but... the cover and the feature edit are boring nonetheless...

Taking the same images as normal and then applying a massive blur effect - that doesn't speak to me of the intellectual extremes of fashion, it says to me this is another issue where Meisel found himself bereft of solid ideas.

Part of me admires the way that image is sitting on the front of a fashion magazine, but at the same time, by Vogue Italia's own standard of adventurous covers, it seems to be a let-down, because it's as if an editorial image got 30 seconds of simple photoshop and then was dressed up as a daring idea.

And its an idea that's so blank, that it allows others to fill in the gaps that the creator didn't supply. For some that will be a positive, that will be the point, but I need more for my money - this for me, is the emperor's new cover, never mind his clothes. For me, it's a visual fraud that they're trying to pass off as something fantastic.

^^LOVE that sentence, although i dont agree about this cover, that is exactly the feeling i get from Vogue Italia covers sometimes.I wish Franca had the cojones to tell all mighty Meisel that his reign (of terror to some ) at VI is over and employ more diverse group of photographers who actually get the cover stories aswell and not just editorials inside. The fact that he and only he has been shooting their covers for more than a decade now is absoloutely ridicilous-fashion photography shouldn't be this limited!

And then I added another sentence at the end after I first posted... it's not that I don't like the image, it's perfectly nice, but it's just not MARCH for me. And God knows I've waited long enough to see this issue.
