I get the connotations of class, but I don't know where you're getting race from. And, anyway, fashion has always borrowed imagery from classes of people that can't afford the clothes pictured. Marc Jacobs at perry ellis, Miuccia Prada a few seasons ago with her riff on uniforms.

Why would your first assumption be that an editorial in an international fashion magazine is making a joke about that which it depicts? The point is to show something outside the mainstream, for sure, but it seems to me like the only really negative connotation I've seen in this thread is in the assumption that this imagery is inherently mocking. Concluding that seems to reveal more about your own assumptions about class than the people who work at Vogue's. But maybe you're seeing something I'm not -- what's so horribly racist about this editorial?

^^yeah, that's Kelly.

Can anyone identify the other model to the left of Kelly's page?

I wanna say Rianne ten Haken but I can't tell for sure and that would be quite random.

^That is Kelly too. Her editorial looks promising, And I like the idea of this crazy Meisel editorial, but not sure if this will be good. Not sure about the cast of the models.

oh, now I see it. it's hard to ID Kelly without seeing her distinctive eyes.

I'm loving everything so far... the styling is just amazing.

^Yep, she's so beautiful, I think that editorial will be much better than the original, not sure about Daphne and Lindsey can do this, they're too young, and TBH Daphne looks really bad, when she's very pretty.

I think it's Rianne too. Based from the nose I would say. But I'm glad that Kelly's part of the cast! Love this newbie girl. Her face is just different in a lovely way. Too bad she didn't score a GIF preview.

^ The Kelly picture is definitely from a different editorial. It looks like something Yelena Yemchuck would shoot ....but it's probably not by her.
