Maybe I'm alone but I don't mind because I LOVE IT. Every minute of it I love - some of he pictures are unflattering but I can't say that I care because at last we have an actress doing a shoot that is innovative. Maybe not innovating by our standards but compared to the duller than dirt glamour shots we see of celebrities each and every single day this is amazing. Its raw and its sexy and its dirty - yes some of the pictures verge on gratuitous but its delicious. I love how Meisel didn't shy away from Eva's femininity in these pictures. Her body is a work of art - I feel like if the same exact edit were done with say Sasha or Coco it wouldn't have this carnal element that I think it has. Not to knock those girls - both of whom I love - but Eva's body is so suited to this kind of theme.

I also enjoy that its not outright sexy - there is a pinup theme at work but its not so literal. Its a tease somehow - there is a great deal of expectancy violation here. Its like Meisel is saying "You want sexy - I'll give you sexy but be careful what you wish for..."

The only thing holding this editorial back are some of her facial expressions but I'll give her a pass since she is not a model by trade.

Great post. ^^^ But I have to say I hate it, I have to say I hate her. Do not find her attractive at all.

not sure about all the post....
but sure there's a pin-up theme....
but think it's very porno oldies influences.... with a contemporary touch (just look the plastic use.... plastic is old but fashion is still very academic... )
+ same old influences
but meisel is good to make it look ok - though some shots look horrible, well the girl looks like it !! - .... in this style only terry r. and m&m would can do good....
a Kitsch fashion photo is ok for me.... and when lingerie is done this way.... i like it very much....

AND : not a lot of people can print this!!!!!! be happy!!!!

It just dosent work, at least in the past when Meisel chose celebrities it was the right ones, Richie for Ironic, Selma Blair for cool and Charlotte G. for arty, it was all executed well, but Eva just dosent pull those looks off,it fails.

Good point. I do think there is an element of 1950s - 60s pornography to this shot. Almost a fetish-esque scenario what with all the focus on feet within the pictures.

Eva's editorial was perfection. I finished looking at the first set of photos and was sad there wasn't any more, and then I scroll down and there's MORE! It's raw... nothing like the last few editorials he's made. Not to mentinon Eva is looking sexy as two hells. Makes up for the Siri and Kershaw eds...

Natalia's editorial is very pretty. Very luxurious.

Thank you for the scans, jadabelle.

Natalia's ed looks like outtakes from last month's issue.

I don't like the cover but Eva's ed is pretty amazing. When was the last time, if ever, did they use a celeb?

Eva's editorial - well I like the decor and the colors. Too much open mouth, though. Natalia - it looks like she got some big contract again - she's not applying herself. That said, I guess it's just not much of a chance to go a good job either...so stiff. Her last few editorials have been amazing, but this one sucks.
