LOVE Eva's editorial...love the 60's technicolor atmosphere (kind of reminds me a bit of Karen's infamous W editorial with the short red wig).

Natalia's "Dinner at 8" editorial is nice, I love the concept, but something is missing.

I LOVE Ali by Richard Burbridge. So delicate and cold. Precious girl beauty.

Definitely, I agree, plus it gives the photoshoot more credibility to lose that additional hype factor. Eva looks good; where's her Pirelli calendar deal?

Exactly.I'm happy with it.

I love when Meisel does the "laying around the luxurious house" shoots.Hannelore March 2000, Jessica September 2003, the 2000 Versace campaign with Amber and Georgina, etc. It's all such a feast for the eyes.

I can only hope for even better things to come for Vogue Italia the rest of the year, hopefully July is as good as it is being hyped to be.

I agree 100% with Luxx's post, I'm far from being a fan of Eva or Steven for that matter but I found the ed to be truly fantastic, and I definitely see a part of the era that BerlinRocks is mentioning.. the bouffant hair.. the surrealism.. the absurdity of the scenes.. the sexiness that is so grotesque you almost find it comical, it's 50s.. and 60s.. so 70s as well.. a nice tribute to the golden era of Italian cinema with all the elements I personally LOVE about it. It's Steven, it will never be close to perfection but if there's something he understands, executes and captures so well, it's the exuberance of Italian culture, and I think he succeeded at it here.

Natalia Vodianova is looking gorgeous as well. the ed makes no sense though. but not in a cool way. it's just bleh.. now that's Steven causing what he does best.. nothing.

I'm not a huge fan of Eva's editorial, but I don't think its as bad as some people are making it out to be. The only thing that really irks me is the picture where someone's feet are smooshing her breasts. Weird...and possibly uncomfortable for Eva.

Thanks for the scans!
I don't get the sex appeal of Eva's ed. And Natalia's ed is not that surprising. Somehow I quite like Abbey's ed.

Nothing in this issue really appeals to me . Eva' editorial is so unsexy and contrived looking.

When I read E. Mendes on Vogue Italy cover I thought :S, but it does look good, really, I am so surprised! I guess Meisel is a genius

I like the Natalia ed! Some of it reminds me of Tamara de Lempicka:
