Funny, I thought the same thing about Kamila Filipcikova's covers.

If the WWD pictures are any indication Eva's editorial will be Sofia Loren-redux. Makes sense given Eva's resemblance to Loren.

^If that is what they were aiming for I would have rather them actually use Sofia Loren. She might be old, but at least she doesn't come off as drag as Eva.

^ I completely agree, plus Sofia is Italian, which would make more sense.
I see nothing in Eva, except resemblance with any cheap trashy character from mexican soap opera...

^You're definitely seeing the positive of this, and I agree it would have been worse if Paris was on it...Paris, imo should never be on covers, she should stick to her sex tapes and F grade films and leave covers to the models.

it can always be worse. the problem is when it should have been much better. i mean, it's vogue italia, what is eva mendes doing with a lollipop on the cover of vogue italia?

My thoughts exactly. I feel like I'm always cynical about magazine covers, so I will say that she still looks pretty! Just the concept is a little off. Maybe replace the lollipop with...a flower or something. It is May after all!

ETA: Um, what the heck is going on in #85?

Eva would definitely be my first choice for a celeb cover, but this is a really unflattering shot of her.

I think that Eva's editorial looks interesting, and I can't wait to see more.

Sophia Loren was mind-blowingly gorgeous, imo. Eva does not even come to close to ummm hmmmm Jen Aniston.

Well...

... I guess they really are trying to prove that the fact that celebs are always on the cover isn't the reason US Vogue sucks. It's just the way they do it.
