I don't know what to think... It's not what I expected, which is a good thing, I guess. Because I was prepared for some silly supermodel cover with the girls and half-naked Oraine (was that his name?). But I'm not really feeling this. Not very exciting or fresh or interesting, if you ask me.

Interesting theme, but Agyness' expression on the cover is way off.

Any news on the rest of the editorials?

Visually impressive.
Controversial.
Provacative.
Timely.

Everything I expect from a Vogue Italia cover.

I cannot wait to see this editorial in full.

To me it's beautiful & shocking at the same time & if it makes you feel uncomfortable then that's good. The world has become insane and Vogue Italia & Meisel show us this again by combining the state of the world with high fashion & a photo shoot reflecting our times. Nobody else would dare do it which is why Vogue Italia rules!

It just strikes me as trying to glamourise and belittle war. You've got male models as soldiers and one of the soldiers wearing Prada. Yes, the world is insane right now but creating a fashion spread about war is not going to change anything - if anything, it reminds me of the state of the world right now.
The National Security issue last September was spot on, it was intelligent and thought provoking. There is nothing intelligent about this; it's too in your face. I just don't think replicating a war zone has any place in fashion photography.

Meisel is trying to make a statement but I honestly don't think this is the right way to do it. The cover is actually quite extraordinary, a little dirty, a bit morbid but....hmmm..I don't know, there's still something off about it.

I think I'll withhold further judgment until I see the entire editorial

this is probably the only time i'll applaud seeing aggy on a cover...
i do love how vogue italia tackles issues the way no other magazine does...
plastic surgery, gun violence, rehab, hollywood...
always at the forefront...

WOW,this is an exceptional cover,Meisel doesnt need to have his finger on the fashion pulz,he is the pulz! What an unforgettable cover,i cant stop looking at it.Vogue Italia proves yet again, that fashion dosent need to be about pretty bright things but actually can follow todays culture and its issues in a productive way through fashion prizme.

BUT does this mean every major fashion magazine will be doing "army" edits in their next issues? God i hope not!
