Why Vogue LA/Mexico don't choose a covergirl from LA/Mexico?
Because Eva Hughes (Editor in Chief) is Spanish, that's why. Zero features of Latin American models or designers or anyone in the industry, unless they've got the Vogue España stamp of approval.
I never bother to comment anything from Vogue Mexico, but the styling, the shoot, the clothes of Bianca's edit is just horrible, the fur, the dresses, and that sunglasses, the poses, OMG the 6th pictures...! is this even fashionable in Mexico?!
^but technically people from Spain, Italy, France and Portugal are latin, the same as people from Latin America. But people from Spain, Portugal and Latin America are hispanics.
I think the confusion comes from the fact that we called ourselves latins -and people from US called us latinos- but we called europeans to people from Europe.
being Latin is about you're language, if it's a Latin language, it has nothing to do with ethnicity, so even if a girl from Romania was on the cover you'd have a Latin girl because Romanian is a Latin language. But in the US Latin and Hispanic are basically used for Spanish speaking people from Central and South America, Mexico, and the Caribbean, I'd say more so as a race term like Caucasian, even though that's not really the case because not all Latino's/Hispanics are the same race. even thought this is kinda off topic lol.
On topic though, as much as I love Bianca and am glad she got another Vogue cover - even if it's not a major Vogue - she looks awful and commercial. The styling is awful too

Given all this discussion, i would love to see Vogue Mexico giving the opportunity to young/rising star/stablished latin models (from America), despite of the brazilian like Tati Cotliar, Joan Smalls, Alejandra Alonso, Romina Lanaro, Carla Gebhart...
