I like the idea of all three models giving something a bit different on the cover, but I think it could be done more effectively. The girls' energies clash. It's very 90's but I'm not sure if something of yesteryears is a best way to make a debut..

The color is really beautiful.

ETA: it's growing on me a little...

Minimal and fresh, with some good colour. I actually get a bit of a 90s vibe from this. I like.

first of all, congratulations and...I was expecting something more epic than this one. This one is lovely but also plain at the same time. Looks pretty 90s to me. Not a bad cover but wish they could put more effort for the very first issue of Vogue

Great model choice, specially for Ymre and Romee, but the cover is boring.

I like the casting but the cover is nothing special. The concept/styling is a bit boring imo.

Romee looks like a young Candice and I am really loving Yme on here. Not so sure about Josefien

Well that's an unfortunate cover.

How did they decide such uninspired, Escada ad-circa-2004 picture would make a memorable DEBUT cover is beyond me. And let's not get to how, of all the beautiful Dutch girls (Lara and Nimue for example), they'd go with three of the blandest new girls for such celebration. I mean, not even one, three, and one of them has been told this is a US Vogue by David Sims story and isn't even looking at the camera (which I normally don't find that important unless we're talking about a freakin' first issue).

I feel like this is a clear statement of how the people behind it will be functioning. Expectations have gone down to near 0 so I guess that, in a way, they'll have more chances to surprise us.

Why
why not milou or lara?! I think they would sell more magazines than three up and comers

What is that for comment ? there are vogue korea, turkey, russia, portugal, why can't we have a dutch vogue. We got many topmodels and great photographers and designers.

First:
In a interview with Karin and Fiona in "de wereld draait door"
Interviewer: Lara Stone, is she gonna be in your magazine?
Karin: I hope so, we are really trying but you have to understand it's a big political game. We have to earn it first. We have to made it. We can't just call Lara's agent.

I hope it's clear now why Lara wasn't on the cover. I think she will be eventually.

About famous photographers: she already said she thinks it's more exciting to hire a very good Dutch photographer instead of Mario Testino.
Although they were at the time brainstoming on it. But as we all can see it's Marc De Groot. If Lara will be on the cover it will probably by someone like Testino.

They are also saying that big international photographers are interesed but not that they jump in the air to shoot for Vogue Nederland.

I think Ymre is a right choice for the cover, she is the prada girl in Holland. They chooses talents as they said. Also 3 pretty girls will in Holland probaly do just fine. Milou is a great model (@beautifulloser) but is definitly not more wellknown then Ymre.
I think Bette would have been the best choice. Maybe Doutzen. Nimue would also be fine. But Ymre surely is also.
@MulletProof: Nimue is from the same generation as Ymre is.. They both debuted at the same season.

I believe Querelle is also in the inside, i don't get why someone is saying that it's all terrible. We haven't even seen the eds :duh:

I think it's nice that they choosed these 3 Dutchies & cover is very simple, cute but also strong.
